Une soirée aux Oscars qui célèbre les succès sportifs!
Le 9 juin 2015 - C’est une année remplie d’exploits au niveau des sports à l'École secondaire catholique La Citadelle. L’association athlétique a tenu, le vendredi 29 mai, son gala sportif annuel. Cette année, sous le thème d’une soirée aux Oscars, les athlètes et les entraîneurs avaient plusieurs exploits à célébrer, dont plusieurs championnats Stormont, Dundas et Glengarry, un championnat EOSSAA, un championnat OFSAA et trois athlètes représentant notre forteresse au championnat OFSAA de golf et de badminton. Environ 150 Patriotes étaient présents pour le gala sportif 2015. Pendant la soirée, plusieurs médailles et trophées ont été décernés aux athlètes de l’école. Les trophées d’athlètes de l’année furent remis à Émilie Ménard, athlète junior féminine, Colton Harper, athlète junior masculin, Adriana Conti, athlète sénior féminine et Reeve Nicholson, athlète sénior masculin.
Le trophée du meilleur esprit sportif, maintenant appelé le trophée Denise Dumais, était attribué à Eric Brunet et Adriana Conti. Dans les disciplines sportives, 7 autres médailles furent accordées à des élèves démontrant un leadership et un esprit sportif au delà des autres. Les récipiendaires du trophée Louise Charron étaient Abbie Cameron et Caleb Fontaine. L’athlète ayant gagné le trophée Paul Charron était Myriam Fontaine. Le trophée Claude Séguin fut attribué à Mélanie Carrière et Caleb Fontaine. Les autres médailles étaient reliées aux habiletés, à l’effort, à l’amélioration, à l’excellence et au dévouement dans les disciplines sportives. Félicitations à tous nos athlètes et merci pour une excellente saison sportive 2014-2015!
L’École secondaire catholique La Citadelle et son Pavillon intermédiaire offrent des programmes novateurs aux jeunes de la 7e à la 12e année. L’école assure une éducation hors pair aux élèves de la région de Cornwall depuis maintenant 40 ans.

La Citadelle’s Oscar Night Athletic Banquet a huge success!
June 9th 2015 - The past season for l'École secondaire catholique La Citadelle athletes has been an exceptional one. The school’s Athletic Association held their annual Athletic Banquet, on Friday, May 29th 2015. This year’s theme, A Night at the Oscars, welcomed athletes and coaches with gold stars, movie reels and a red carpet. They had plenty to celebrate with numerous SD&G championships, one EOSSA championship, one OFSAA championship and three additional athletes representing their school at the OFSAA championship in golf and badminton.
Over 150 Patriotes were present at the Annual Sports Gala. At the end of the night, La Citadelle’s athletes received numerous prizes, medals and trophies. Prestigeous honours were received by Emilie Ménard, junior female athlete of the year, Colton Harper, junior male athlete of the year, Adriana Conti, senior female athlete of the year, and Reeve Nicholson, senior male athlete of the year.
Denise Dumais’ lifelong contribution to sports was also highlighted during the evening as a new trophy has been created in her honor, for athletes demonstrating superior sportsmanship abilities. Eric Brunet and Adriana Conti were the first students to be awarded this new trophy. Within the different disciplines of the season, seven other awards were given for great leadership and outstanding devotion towards sports.
Recipients for the Trophée Louise Charron were Abbie Cameron and Caleb Fontaine. Recipient for the Paul Charron Trophy was Myriam Fontaine. Lastly, recipients for the Claude Séguin Trophy were Mélanie Carrière and Caleb Fontaine. Other medals and trophies were awarded for ability, effort, improvement, excellence and dedication throughout various sports. Congratulations to all of our athletes and thank you for an amazing season.
Cornwall’s École secondaire catholique La Citadelle and its Pavillon intermédiaire offer innovative programs to students from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The school has been ensuring an outstanding education to students in the Cornwall region for the last 40 years.
